This module gives an overview of approaches in the world and global history research and the context of historical narratives and explanations within the contemporary analysis of globalization processes. It offers a methodological reflection on links between political, social, economic and cultural history, the historisation of holistic world views, the familiarisation with methods of historical comparison and the analysis of cultural contacts and confrontations.
